My all time favourite hc is that all men think Legolas as calm and cold as ice and snow, unmoved by mere mortal emotions and yet every single elf thinks Legolas loud and a complete emotional wreck who’s poker face is as bad as his love of dwarves and men and random emotional outbursts and he’s entirely too affectionate.

So I’m at the gas station and a woman stops me as I’m leaving the store and she’s speaking French (p common since I’m so close to Canada) and I don’t speak French very well. The lady gets her phone out and has google translate and she speaks into it and it’s translated to English. She’s asking where the train station is and I’m like excited because fuck , technology is so cool and ugh anyway I tell her and it translates to French and fuck that’s just so so so cool

Like when I was in grade school my class read the Golden Hour and it involves technology that allows English speaking kids to speak and understand French and I thought that technology was SO cool and so futuristic and today I did pretty much exactly that.
